Free Entre credits for grab
I had go through a lot of blogs which having contest about Entrecard. They are giving free Entre credits if you post an article about their contest. Two example of them are xaviermedia.com and afrogtokiss.net. They are giving free 700 Entre credits and 2000 credits respectively, but you must fulfill their requirements.
Now, i would like to announce that TechSnack.net shows appreciation towards great commentators by giving free Entre credits to them. I currently have around 500 Entre credits and i plan to give them to my commentators. For every single comment, i will give 4 Entre credits. I wish to create a Entrecard community among my readers and encourage more people to join Entrecard.
Prize: 4 Entre credits per comment.
Deadline: Contest begins December 18, 2007 and ends December 31, 2007. All Entre credits will be sent out at January 1, 2008.
Rules: Only valuable comments will be given credits. Comments such as “nice” or “i like it” will not receive any credits. Although not necessary, but you are encouraged to write an review about this contest so that more people know about this.
How to join: You must have an Entrecard account in order to receive Entre credits. Once you register an account, write a comment on this post, together with your email address. Only email addresses which exist on this post can receive Entre credits. So, make sure you write your email address for me.
Note: Only comments between this contest can receive credits, and comments on this post will not receive any credits.

Hi, I like the concept of your post. However, I feel that you might want to consider reviewing the requirements cause they seem a little …(especially the NOTE part) for just 4 credits. Some like me would comment anyway if we see something worth commenting on, so those requirements would not be needed. For those in search of credits, 4 credits can easily be gotten in the time it takes to leave a comment by visiting 4 other blogs. I hope this makes logic. Otherwise you have a nice blog. Visit mine sometime and I’d remember to visit yours again. How’s that?
I am still not very clear with the concept, i think i need to give some more time understanding it. but i have registered, and trying to understand it.

Wow, everywhere I go visiting Entrecard member’s blogs, I’m sure to bound with some contests or others. I wonder how got they got 2K credits?
I realized my style is a bit slower. I read and leave comments on every blogs I visited.
I’ve also added a special link for Entrecard’s members who READ and leave a comment or two. That’s the least I can do to sprad a little linky loves from a PR3 blog. Unfortunately,till now there are only 16 BlogMasters who read and leave comments on my blogs! Maybe I held no contest and neither did I gave any credits away.

Giveaway/Contest is a very effective way to drive traffic and make them do things you want them to do (like comment - Hi there!). More traffic, more chances for Ad clicks = more blog monetization = be like John Chow.
I’m not in this for the entrecard credits (I don’t need them). Just trying to give my 2 cents worth.
I have been using Entrecard for a few days now and can see the benefit. Granted I am not breaking any huge records but you really can’t expect one stream to provide all your traffic. It is a nice way to tally a few extra visitors though. And it introduces me to lots of great blogs I might not find otherwise.
and by following your contest, doesnt meaning to make me and other contestant look like a panhandler right?
I have seen joetech.com with an entrecard contest too, 1000 points or something.
Though I have the widget on my site, ive never used the points to buy ads elsewhere.
But thanks man, a contest like this makes reader feel valuable. I mean it shows that you care about the comments
@Tyler: I think some of the Entrecard users just stop by to drop a card and the leave your page. But i believe that were other group of users which really go through your page instead of just dropping by. As long as your site has good design and great content, i believe they will come back.
@Felix: Thanks for giving your comment. The main purpose i run this contest is to attract more readers to leave comments on my blog. I like to interact with my readers. But, i may consider your advice to increase the credits. Perhaps it bring more readers to my blog. Thanks again!

@ArahMan7: Some Entrecard users claim that they can earn around 300 credits per day. Within 1 week, they can get more than 2k credits. BTW, you can try to run some contests or try to join my Entrecard community. I will try my hard to push it, hope can help each other to bring more readers.
@Rudy: Thanks for your comment. But my blog will focus on Web2.0 service and come computer tips. So i seldom run contest. The main purpose of this contest is to bring more readers to take part in commenting. So, hope you can always visit my blog(although you not join Entrecard, but i appreciate your comments)!
@Susan: I agree with you. Entrecard can just bring us new traffic, but you should also have great content so that hey will always come back.
@tukang: Sure! It is just some rewards that i give to my readers and commentators. It won’t cause you look like a panhandler.

just a nice idea..when i see your blog about “Free Entre credits for grab” i say “ai…again?same idea?”…but i read through…it is ok..just a fresh idea.So, hope your blog have many and many commentators…just gambatte…hahaaha
I’m still trying to get my head around it but I’m not complaining. I have gotten a fair amount of traffice from them.
Hopefully it will only get better.

@joshuaun: Yup, i believe this is a fresh idea. Again, the main purpose is not giving hundreds or thousands of credits. I just want to appreciate my commentators and encourage readers to participant.
@Gerri: I get reasonable traffic from Entrecard, and the average time they spend on my blogs is quite long. So, i really appreciate traffic from Entrecard and now i hope them can involve in commenting, tahts why i run this contest.

I think Entrecard traffic is useless in that people come just to click on the entrecard “drop yours” and then leave without reading a bit. But I guess its my duty to attract people with the content, at least they came.
